We’re proud to say that our project is now supported by funding from Milton Keynes Community Foundation (MKCF). Thank you to MKCF and all our supporters for getting us this far. The mini grant we’ve been awarded will give us the help we need to get get planting up to cultivate something special for MK.
Our next planning meeting will take place on Thursday 17th May from 7 – 8pm, and will be followed by our weekend Permablitz (with “Bring & Share” lunch) on Sunday 20th May from 11am – 1pm.

Our March permablitzes are coming around fast. Following our planning meeting on Thursday 15th March from 7 – 8pm, we have our weekend gardening blitz scheduled for Saturday 17th March from 2 – 4pm and our weekday one set for Wednesday 28th March from 10am – 1pm.
Today’s “Seed Swap” event from Bletchley Garden Club got us thinking about companion planting… This infographic from lovethegarden.com illustrates the advantages of planting the right crop next to each other to get benefits like deterring common pests and diseases, amongst other things…
Thank you to Transition Town Milton Keynes for organising the film screening of: ‘The Soil Solution to Climate Change’ on Thursday evening at Central Milton Keynes library. The film (and demonstration) gave us a thought-provoking appreciation of the humble soil beneath our feet – not only for the “living universe” it presents, but for the key it holds to unlocking a possible solution to the global climate crisis…
A big thank you to the local Costa in Westcroft, Milton Keynes for agreeing to donate their coffee grounds. They will be a very welcome, nitrogen-rich addition to our garden compost. And while we’re on the subject of compost, we thought we’d post this Composting 101 infographic.
