Transition Town Milton Keynes is hosting a Creative Ideas competition to kick off their Imagine MK campaign this spring.

The competition is a chance for Milton Keynes (MK) folk to share their ideas about Our Vision for (Sustainable Living in) Milton Keynes in 2030.

All entries must be submitted by 11.59pm on 12 April 2021, and the winners will be announced at the awards ceremony and exhibition launch event on 14 May 2021.

The Background:

A year ago Milton Keynes Council set an ambitious environmental target to make our city carbon neutral by 2030. This can only be achieved if all of us are prepared to make some immediate changes to the way we do things in our daily lives. 

With imagination and creativity we can plan for a future that is greener and better than the way things are now, and we can act to mitigate the disastrous consequences of climate change.

Thanks to a Big Lottery Community Fund grant via the national Transition Network, our local Transition Town Milton Keynes group is focused on making 2021 our city’s year of sustainability action. And as part of our Imagine MK campaign, we are working with Milton Keynes Council’s Sustainability team and other partners across the city to reimagine the future city we want to live in. 

MK citizens are invited to participate in the creation of “Our Vision for Sustainable Living in Milton Keynes in 2030” by submitting your ideas before 12 April 2021.
