Permaculture says that when we design to meet our needs, it should be done in a way that supports the ecosystem as a whole. Guiding this process are the permaculture ethics and main principles.
The SADI approach is a commonly used framework that is often used to guide the process of design so that the chance of overlooking something is reduced. This framework has been borrowed from the discipline of Landscape Architecture where SADI is abbreviated from the letters standing for: Survey, Analysis, Design, Implementation.
