We’re proud to say that our project is now supported by funding from Milton Keynes Community Foundation (MKCF).
MKCF is an independent charity working to connect people and resources to projects and ideas that will help create positive impacts and enduring solutions for MK communities.
We set out a comprehensive proposal outlining how we would use the money to buy the necessary plants and materials to set up our community garden at Westbury Arts Centre. The bid also included proposed spends on promotional resources we need to help us organise some 2018 events. The idea for these events is for them to be led by permaculture guest speakers to help guide us in how we can care for the plot and continue our efforts to bring together the local community and encourage us all to share our skills, knowledge and produce for the long-term.
The mini grant awarded by MKCF will come from their fund supported by Parks Trust Community, Cumming Community and David Lock Grassroots donors.
We can’t thank all our volunteers and supporters enough. This funding will give us the help we need to get planting up the gardens at Westbury and cultivating our local community.
