This year our Planting Up group is doing things a bit differently. Instead of spending our volunteer garden work parties in our forest garden plot at Westbury, we’ve decided to schedule some of our days together on “field trips” where we go and visit other sites of interest to see what we can learn from them to bring back and try ourselves.
The second Saturday in April marked our first group day out. We didn’t venture far, or have to organise too much, as we were graciously hosted by two of our members at their allotments and had a tour of the Wolverton Community Orchard just a stone’s throw away from them.
