Speaking from experience, sometimes the DIY label you create for your seedings can get lost/ moved/ smudged <<replace with your own story>> and you can forget what you’ve planted. Or maybe you just put some seeds in, hoping for the best, and forget about them…
Whether you can reasonably blame it on your partner/ child/ cat etc, or it’s actually your fault for thinking a piece of handwritten cardboard would stand up to being sprinkled with water over time, I’m here to tell you it really doesn’t matter once the seedlings start to come through.
The fact is, all you need to do is develop an eye for the small leaves on your seedlings, and you’re left smiling all the way to the greenhouse 🙂
I’m no expert, but a few years of growing the same veggies has helped me to identify them, so I thought It would be useful to share a few of the classics that we can keep coming back and adding to.
